At first I didn't know how to take Dr. Swiggard mainly from myself being nervous. He handles himself as a professional and tries to keep you as comfortable as possible during appointments. I had concerns about medications and we went through side effects I was having versus common side effects and adjusted them as needed for my situation. He communicates well with my PCP so I don't need to play telephone between the two. At times he may seem a little arrogant but honestly after being under his care for the last year now he had a right to be. He is very well informed and always on his A game and takes each patient very seriously. I honestly can't say enough good about him.
This guy is a joke. He's indifferent to your health and takes nothing but his ego seriously. If you want a doctor who's more willing to spew terrible jokes at you than treat your ailment then by all means schedule a meeting with him.
So far, I like this doctor a lot. His approach may be unconventional, but that is one of the reasons I like him so much. He is clearly very knowledgeable about the latest treatments, and is able to choose one that is best suited to the patient based on other meds, lifestyle, etc.
Dr Swiggard knows his stuff, and is personable, and gives the patient useful information that allows the patient to be an active participant in his own therapy. For some, this may be overwhelming. For me, it helps build confidence in my health care.
