Dr. Stiefel was recommended to me as a second opinion after another local periodontist told me I needed a minimum of $12,000 in periodontal work, necessary for my level of gum recession and bone loss. Dr. Stiefel said, "Not so fast." He wanted me to try some simple, free home care options, first, to see if I could reverse the progression. It worked. After 6 months to a year of observation, I did need one graft, totalling approximately $4000. Wow. The graft has held up beautifully, now, for maybe 8 years. I see Dr. Stiefel for an annual check up and his hygienists every 6 months. They are all gentle, lovely people. I've sent a friend to the practice (she was thrilled with the service) and recommend it to countless others.
