I find myself walking out of places with comparable price points, but not nearly the kind of service and individualized attention Cathy Cross offers. The service and clothing they offer is impeccable and they have created an unpretentious shopping environment that in my opinion is the ideal of what clothes shopping should be. Not to mention the quality of the clothes they offer is excellent, I still wear things I bought seven years ago. My weight has fluctuated and they have always found something for me that fit beautifully, shopping at Cathy Cross is an empowering experience. I returned for the first time in a couple of years this summer, was remembered by the staff and once again walked out of there with some beautiful purchases.
I absolutely love Cathy Cross's boutique and her warm and friendly staff. I have been shopping at Cathy's store since I was a sophomore at UMass in 2009 and have never had less than an amazing experience. Her store is impeccably designed, clean, and is the only boutique of it's kind in Western Mass. I only get to her store 1-2 times a year because I no longer live in Amherst but I order items from them over the phone that I've seen on their Instagram. Her hand-picked pieces from luxury brands excite me every time I step in her store. and even if I spend more than I expected, it is always worth it!
Not only is Cathy Cross one of the most brilliant curators of women’s fashion, she is the master of retail. Walking into her space is walking into an experience that leaves you confidently drenched in style, connected to a community through her experience, humor and warmth…it’s always worth the parking ticket!
I was introduced to Cathy Cross as a student seven years ago I currently reside in Italy and I have yet to come across the kind of service and unique selection that Cathy has to offer.
I have yet to have a good experience at Cathy Cross. Each time I go in they are rude to me- they ignore me for their older clientele (I'm in my twenties, with a steady well paying job, and I dress professionally). It really annoys me that they clip the designers tags so you can't see what season/collection they are. I've found items there that are 2-3 seasons old (and should be on sale) that are full-price at Cathy Cross. Even when I do find a dress that I love and they haven't marked up in price (I get it, they're a small boutique) I find the sales associates make me NOT want to purchase items there. The owner (Cathy) is the worst- after I came out of the dressing room she snagged the dress I had just tried out of my hands and said "you're not going to buy it, are you?". With that attitude I will be talking my business else where.
